I had a severe rotator cuff impingement crisis, which limited the movement of my right arm. The pain was very intense, and I decided to seek an alternative, complementary treatment since, after more than two weeks, the medications were not helping me. I met Dr Mary after searching for professionals in this area for a long time. In my first consultation, she addressed several aspects of my health, not just the condition I was presenting. After gathering all the information about my health (in general), we started a treatment using acupuncture. After the first session, I could move my arm with less pain. In the second session, the improvement was evident. The movements gradually became more expansive and with less pain. I highly recommend Dr Mary, who, besides her professionalism, is a kind person and genuinely committed to the patient's well-being.

I have now had my 4th session with Dr Mary. The results are amazing. I am walking much better and faster, my balance is nearly back to 100%.

After 2 years suffering with back & leg pain which I thought was sciatica.

I found Dr Mary when I had exhausted all remedies, from conventional to homeopathy. I was really struggling with many symptoms that baffled a lot of physicians and practitioners. When I first contacted Dr Mary, I was in so much trouble with pain in my lower back. Dr Mary treated me holistically, top to toe, explaining in deep detail what was happening to me as a whole, and what was actually causing the pain, and not just focussing on the one area of pain. I had my first session with Dr Mary 2 weeks ago, because I was suffering from pain under my shoulder blade, neck and arm. I was also sleeping terribly due to the pain. The painkillers from the GP weren't helping. I was amazed how well Dr. Mary diagnosed my overall health by looking at my ear and my tongue. The treatment eased the pain, helped me sleep and to get my appetite back. I loved the holistic approach of stimulating my body to do the healing and it felt as I was in good hands. I had a lower back (sciatica) and knee peoblem that caused me lots of pain and meant it was difficult for me to walk. My daughter recommended Mary and within the first treatment I felt improvement. After one session, Dr Mary told my mom what she needed to check out at the doctors as well as using acupuncture which gave my mom the ability to bend her knees with no pain (after a decade of pain!)What a joyous occasion. I am currently 6 months pregnant and initially came to Dr Mary with a lot of anxiety and awful aches in my legs.

This was my first ever acupuncture treatment, originally it was my wife who wanted the treatment and I just went along to find out more, Mary was so knowledgeable that I asked if I can have a session too.

I came to Mary 4 weeks ago after I hit my limit on how much pain my plantar fasciitis was causing. I started suffering whilst pregnant due to the extra weight I was carrying around I also had numb legs from the after effects of the epidural ( doctor advised to come back after 6 month)
Around 4.5 after birth I could no longer take no more!!!!
After meeting Mary for the first time I felt like I could run a marathon! No lie
I also had the most heavenly sleep
Oh Mary also worked on clearing any constipation- I never thought I was! But the week after the acupuncture it was clear that I was!
II returned a week later knowing that one treatment isn’t a cure
Mary worked solely on the back of my body, I’ve always been sensitive to touch and after an hour or so of me nearly jumping of the bed just from Mary touching to see if this or that was a problem area and needle work Mary went back to touch the area and there was no flinching or jumping around from me!
I came off the bed relaxed and could get straight up with no foot or heal pain (anyone with plantar knows that as soon as you rest the pain gets worse)
3rd treatment I went back with slight heal pain Mary worked the back of my body again every needle this time created a twitch and I could feel my body relax, I felt like a new person.
4 th treatment, all my areas of concern are pretty much a old memory ! Today Mary focused on relaxation and sleep (baby teething so I’ve not really slept for a week) I can not even describe the deep sleep I had I’m not even sure how long I was asleep for today but I feel like it’s mad up for the lack of all week.
Honestly can not even tell you how happy and relieved I am that I found Mary (through recommendation) the doctor said he wouldn’t treatment due to breast feeding and having to wait for a referral after 6months after 4 weeks I feel I have new feet, No tension in my pain no numbness and refreshed. Also Mary is a good laugh , great sense of humour which Made the experience all the better.
I won’t be waiting next time I start to experience a pain thanks so much Mary

This lady has been a huge part of my journey out of postnatal depression and anxiety.
I came to her back in October 2022 due to a diagnosis of cervical myelopathy where doctors wanted me to undergo major surgery asap. My instinct was no! So I sought out some acupuncture in an attempt at alternatively medicating myself out of the hole I felt I was in.
At first I found it strange that she didn't seem very concerned at all about my diagnosis but now understand that Chinese medicine is nothing like Western medicine in that it treats the cause and not just the symptoms. Mary told me she wanted to treat my anxiety and depression first and foremost as she could see straight away this was my root problem... about 6 sessions in I started to sleep very deeply (I hadn't even realised how bad my sleep was but she kept mentioning and treating my sleep!), that was my turning point. Since then I have seen definite improvements in so many areas including the tingling in my fingers and loss of balance I was experiencing from my myelopathy which has notably reduced. My anxiety isn’t overwhelming anymore!
I will continue to see her once a month as a form of self care and best value for money I have ever experienced in a treatment. I consider this lady a friend of mine as she has always made me feel seen and shown genuine intention to cure me not just treat me.

I had problems with my eyes and it has been years... My eyes are very easily getting dry and tired, and I couldn't read for more than 2 hour per day since it gets very tired and painful. I have seen many doctors but it never really changed. I was recommended to visit Dr. Gao and she is really nice and funny. After several treatment from Dr. Gao, my eyes are much better. I could read almost as much as I want with much less pain and it really helped me with my study.
So I would like to thank Dr. Gao for her excellent acupuncture and I strongly recommend her clinic!

Best decision I ever made
Originally a sceptic of alternative medicines, I loved to take pills for everything, until side effects made me think about alternatives. Then many years ago I went to see Dr Mary and tried Acupuncture and Chinese medicine. In the years to follow, the treatment reduced my armpit odour by about 80%, cured a frozen shoulder which I had for many years, now I can lift my arm over my head with no pain. I have always had intermittent problems filling my lungs which has been rectified using acupuncture, My gout pain drastically reduced, relieve my heartburn. And I was amazed when my old rugby knee injury makes it painful to walk, a few well-placed needles takes the pain away and speeds up the healing process. Being squeamish about needles in the past, I found that acupuncture needles are so tiny the treatment is painless.

On 9 July, I was diagnosed with Bells palsy. I was worried and keen to learn what I could do to help aid my recovery. Unfortunately there was little advice the hospital could offer and so all I had was medication to rely upon to help ease the inflammation. I had significant weakness on the left side of my face. I simply could not lift my eye brow; close my eye lid; flare my nostril or smile. The list of course goes on and you can probably imagine how I was feeling. I presented to Dr Mary on 12 July with my issues. Mary took time to listen to me and answer any questions I had. I did not feel rushed. Mary clearly explained what course of action she felt necessary. I had no prior knowledge or experience with Mary. I found Mary by pure chance and took a leap of faith. After several appointments, I am pleased to say I have gone from strength to strength. As a result of the treatment, I am delighted to report. I can close my eye lid. I can flare my nose. I can lift my eye brow. I can smile. I do not feel as stressed. The pain at the back of my head has reduced. My headaches are better.
My digestive system is working better. Better sleeping patterns. There is no question that the above is promising and I am indeed extremely lucky. In fact, the consultant said the exact same words when he discharged me only yesterday. Moving forward, I am mindful that I need to be careful, cautious and rest. Mary has given me plenty food for thought. I would describe Mary has friendly, approachable and kind.
I cannot thank Mary enough for her professionalism and understanding. Mary has been honest with me from the start and I value her openness and transparency. Mary has given me a hope and I feel more positive.
